Uptown Altamonte Jazz Jams

WoW!! Jazz Jams at Uptown in Altamonte Springs was a very fun & exciting event. We met a lot of really nice people and we even got to see a couple of our partner restaurants like Jersey Mikes & Bubbalous BBQ. The only bad news of the evening was finding out WLOQ is no longer going to be sponsoring the event or on the air, they've unfortunately been bought out the jazz jams Concerts will continue on in the future. Uptown Altamonte will be the new main sponsor from this point forward. All in all were thankful for the success of the event and we look forward to seeing Jazz Jams continue on in our community!!

If you missed out on attending? Or missed out on saying HI! to GoWaiter North Orlando at our booth. Check out some pics below.

Restaurant Food Delivery

The changing economy has forced many men and women to work long overtime hours or take second jobs. More time away from the family is straining personal and family time. With this increasing pressure, many families are looking for affordable ways they can have dinner delivered to their home without spending a fortune. For this reason, dinner delivery businesses are on the upswing. By having dinner delivered to their door, families can spend time together that otherwise would be spent in the kitchen preparing the meal. Instead of making tiresome trips to the grocery store, people are putting the money towards dinner deliveries instead.

In 2005, American Express began urging restaurants that accept their credit cards to heavily consider take-out delivery service. A recent study had found that upwards of 75% of consumers said they would be more likely to use home delivery service if their favorite restaurants offered take-out menus. Less than 20% of the restaurants in many cities actually offer home delivery. This has led to an increased need for food delivery companies. GoWaiter North Orlando has plenty of selections you can have delivered in a hurry.

Drivers Work Off Tips!!

The drivers at GoWaiter North Orlando work hard and tipping is how they make money. I have decided to research and blog a little about this.
A tip, or gratuity, is a small amount of money given voluntarily as a token of appreciation for a service rendered. We tip our servers as a way of thanking them for good service. We might also leave a very low tip, or no tip at all, as a signal that the service was substandard.

A story on tips from CNN Money says:
Tipping experts recommend you tip a waiter or waitress 15 percent for adequate service, 20 percent for very good service and not less than 10 percent for very bad service. Why 10 percent for a bad time? Think of the busboys, the bartender and the hostess. In a lot of restaurants, a server pays out a percentage of their tips to others who help them serve you. By punishing the server, you're punishing them.

About.com wrote:
If you are having pizza (or other food) delivered to your home or office, the tip rules vary considerably. As in the case of a sit-down restaurant, tipping is optional but some restaurants add a delivery fee to your bill (usually about $3.00). In some cases, delivery fees are higher when food is delivered to an office.
One of the coolest and most impressive sites I’ve found while doing a little research for this post is:

Thepizzaguy.com
-The tip shows that you value the driver's work.
-It just feels good to tip.
-It shows that you're a good person. It's a good thing to do.
-It shows you have class.
-Tipping is common courtesy. It's customary.

Drivers at Gowaiter.com do on occasion still get stiffed. I’ll say it again the thepizzaguy.com has a lot of good info pertaining to the proper tipping of a delivery driver. Unlike ordering just Pizza or Chinese, when ordering from GoWaiter North Orlando we have over 50+ Restaurants like WingHouse, Chili’s, TGI Friday’s and some of local favorite are Mykonos, Friendly Confines & Bayridge Sushi. We offer more choices then just one type of food. A bonus to ordering online is a bi-weekly email with a free delivery coupon code or a free six pack. Our delivery charge when ordering on-line is $3.99 and $4.99 if you order over the phone, so go ahead try us!!!

Maitland Buisness Safety Expo

Despite the rain on 6/1/2011 3 major businesses Charles Schwab, EA Sports and FIS located next to RDV Sports Complex in Maitland, FL. Held their Annual Fire Drill Expo In coordination with EA Sports and many other vendors such as Ker’s WingHouse, Pickle’s Deli, Tropical Smoothie & Panda Express.
The Expo brought out many other vendors that helped create awareness for what to do in a Disaster or Emergency situation. A fire drill is a method of practicing the evacuation of a building for a fire or other emergency. Generally, the emergency system (usually an alarm) is activated and the building is evacuated as though a real fire had occurred. Usually, the time it takes to evacuate is measured to ensure that it occurs within a reasonable length of time. Some meteorologist from Wesh 2 News came into to speak to the employees about what to do in a major storm. The rain did affect the number of people inside EA, Schwab & FIS that would have attended the event. But the people who did attend were very generous for the food vendors that GoWaiter North Orlando had pleasure in organizing for the event. We’re very thankful for being asked to help with this event and our vendors were very pleased and thankful too!! A Big Thank You!! To all the wonderful people working in the EA, Schwab & FIS Buildings and our AMAZING Restaurants who we deliver food from. Also the wonderful WingHouse Girls.
